Checkmate Clinic Series 100

90-mins, one-day clinic series.  Covering various basic checkmate patterns. Stepping players up from the “how to” to executing the checkmate in context using obstacles, and if time, in an end game scenario.   In this clinic series: King-Queen Mate, Introduction to King-Pawn End Games, Double Rooks Mate, Rook Mate. This clinic covers these mates with more depth than was introduced in the Newbies and Juniors classes.  This is good practice for those who know the pattern, but want to improve its execution in a game scenario. Students will learn basic patterns, utilize obstacles and/or "live" pieces to contextualize the mate patterns, and study published mid-end games from notatble/famous masters of chess.

Those who have completed Newbies 1 and 2, or know how to move all the pieces already and have a basic knowledge of check/checkmate.
