Learn checkmate patterns, and put them into context. Practice your endgame strategies. Level 1 is intended for Newbies & Juniors (as a matter of pace, not content).

About the Event
Covering checkmate patterns from basic to difficult. Stepping players up from "knowing" the checkmate to finding checkmate in context using obstacles, and endgame scenarios. This is good practice for those who know the pattern, but want to improve its execution in a game scenario. Students will learn and study published endgames from notatble/famous masters of chess.
This class is best suited for Newbies & Juniors. However, the content of class will be the same as Level 2.
Just more gradually paced for those completely new to checkmate patterns.
This class is 100% Outdoors (rain/shine). Masks recommended.
-The tent has netting that reduces wind, and keeps rain out. We have lighting under the tent for when the sun sets earlier. Space heaters will be used to give us a little warm when the temps get chilly. The tent will be up until snow is expected.
