About the Event
Students will learn how to activate pieces in coordination (be useful in the game), take a closer look at basic pawn structures, castling, strategic aims, and practice mate patterns within the context of a game. Chess notation will be introduced. Students will learn to communicate moves and ideas using the language of chess.
This class is 100% Outdoors (rain/shine). Masks required.
The tent has netting that reduces wind, and keeps rain out. We have lighting under the tent for when the sun sets earlier. Space heaters will be used to give us a little warm when the temps get chilly.
